Maintenance sessions are important for your dog's well-being.  Preventative care is beneficial for increasing strength and range of motion in muscles and joints,  for circulation and for overall health and happiness.

I typically recommend 4 sessions, one per week, for 4 weeks and then monthly maintenance sessions thereafter.

Palliative Care, Hospice, End of Life Care & Support

Regular massage enhances an aging, ill, or elderly dog’s quality of life. Massage energizes the mind and helps decrease pain that comes with illness and chronic conditions, such as arthritis. Massage is nurturing and passively stimulates the dog, helping them move when they have trouble moving themselves. Movement heals!

Palliative care also works to provide comfort and pain relief during chronic illness and end of life.  For dogs with chronic disease or at end of life, massage can ease the pain and discomfort that comes from immobility and depression. It can passively remove excess medication and toxic waste from the body and stimulate the nervous system to shut down nociceptors that cause pain. This work empowers pet parents to play a role in end of life care and provides emotional support for everyone involved.

I travel right to your door to provide your pet with a massage session in the comfort of their own home.

Have a dog friendly work environment? I can also come to your office! Be sure to ask about group rates.

Each session is tailored to fit your companion's needs. Please note, during any session your pet determines how much time is needed to get comfortable and when the therapist is allowed to touch them. No one dog is the same and not every day will be the same for your pet. My goal is to enhance your dog's overall health and well being so please trust that I enter into every session with expertise and your pet's best intentions in mind.

You first session will usually last about an hour and a half and will primarily consist of me getting to know you and your companion animal (and vice versa). For future sessions, an hour of time will be devoted to you and your animal companion, however, the actual massage can last anywhere from 10 to 45 minutes. How long the session lasts depends on your pet's response to massage. Dogs (and cats) often become more relaxed with each session and will enjoy a longer massage. I also utilize essential oils, calming treats and music to ensure your dog gets the most out of each session.

There may be an additional travel charge depending upon location. I am happy to quote a travel fee upon request.
